CARTOONS!!!

Heya all, thought I'd share some drawings from the morgue. These are for a pitch I was putting together to take around and try to sell to some cartoon type networks. It's another one of those things that get shelved due to actual paying work and family life and what not. Looks like I may have a chance to develop it further as I'll have some time off between gigs during the month of May.

Nice drawings Fred! What do you use for inking? I really like your lines. Is that the Windsor Newton Series 7?

Thanks for the kind comments. Those monsters are actually creatures from different worlds who play in a band. The tall one with the beek and the fire coming out of his lower torso plays all these crazy perscussion type instruments and the guy with the lobster-like claws plays a banjo.

Brian- the pens used I don't believe are made anymore. I think they were called Eberhard Faber Boldliners. I also use microns (still made)for some of the smaller line widths usually a .03
Is the Winsor Newton Series 7 good for getting thick and thins? May have to check em out.

I like the Windsor Newton sable hair brushes, but there's something I like about the immediacy and control I have with pens. I think I may just have to suck it up and practice like a mad man to get my inking chops up! Plus india ink doesn't smudge after it dries like pens and markers do.
