unkown....
My buddy and co-worker Luke Cormican was nice enough to send me some really cool caricatures from the covers of TV weekly. I'd really like to know who the artist is but can't make out the signatures on the bottom right. Can anyone with info on this artist please let me know?
It's not Berman, good guess though. I was the one who posted them on Cartoon Retro a while back. I got them from Robert Ryan Cory, who bought them from a book store seeling old Tv Weekly's. In the signature, the first name is Bob and the last name starts with a "B". Shane Glines found a cool record cover by this same artist a few weeks back. I'll see if Fred wants to post it some time.
I have a couple of cards that Bob sent to my uncle Hank in 1962 and 1963 that he created and signed. I met Bob at my uncle Hanks funeral years later. Very talented and a great sense of humor.
This is a really old post but I was googling Pete and his brother Bob Bentovoja today and ran across it. Pete was also a very talented cartoonist and passed away 2 days ago on his 92nd birthday. Bob (known by his family as "Boss") is 89 and still alive and well.

Thats Sam Berman, isnt it? I think I saw those under that section on Cartoon Retro awhile back.
There's a bit of a Mort Drucker feel to some of it...
I can't read the signature either however...

Greetings all. Ward sent me by thinking i might know & i do--- that's actually Bob Bentovoja, a major mentor & fave of mine.....
Bob's L.A. Examiner-Herald TV Weekly covers ran from the late 50's into the early 70's. The paper itself died in the mid-80's...
Got any more?
Yers in countenances, Zach
I knew you would crack the code, Zach. That's Trenholm, folks. Zach's site.
Wow, that's great thanks for the name Zach! Can't wait to try and find more work by Mr. Bentovoja!
Fred

Do you have any you can share?
Luke
